I have more Northern Star Polish pretties for you guys today! I am seriously in love with this brand right now. I love the shape of the bottles, I love the uniqueness of the polishes, and the formula is fantastic on everything that I've gotten my hands on. I mean, really! I don't have a single negative thing to say.
If you're curious, you can check out my other Northern Star Polish reviews here!
So lets hop right into this baby and get to the swatches!
Knock Em' Red is described as "a fruity red with pink shimmer". I would say this leans a little more raspberry-strawberry-y pink than red in general, and the shimmer is blended so the polish just seems to glow from within! Its a very different color and I couldn't find a single thing in my stash that duped it! YAY! This is 2 coats of Knock Em' Red + top coat.
Next up is At First Blush - a 'feathery' glitter topper with "matte white, pink, and reddish pink slice glitter." Now, if I am being perfectly honest I was a little worried about this one. I have deliberately avoided the 'Fuzzy Coat' and 'Feather Effect' type polishes that are popular right now because...well...it looks like your ex-husbands left over shaving stubble in the sink...GROSS.
BUT, and thankfully its a BIG BUT, the glitters in At First Blush are a bit larger than the 'stubble aftermath' and I was surprised to note how much I actually LOVED this polish! It created almost a geometric kind of pattern on my nails that I really liked and was not icked out to wear at all! *WHEW* crisis averted! Applied nicely and evenly with no dabbing!
This is 2 coats of At First Blush over 2 coats of Knock Em' Red + Top Coat (if you're curious, the top coat I have been rocking lately is KBShimmer's 'Clearly On Top' fast try top coat - Available for $5 at KBShimmer!)
You can find Knock Em' Red and At First Blush (along with the rest of NSP's gorgeous creations) for $8.50 on Etsy! You can also find Northern Star Polish on Facebook. And don't forget, Northern Star Polish is 4 Free, cruelty free, gluten free, vegan friendly, made in the USA, AND Kristin includes a little thank you in every order!
Pink isn't my colour but I really like that glitter, it's like teeny bits of paper confetti! Really cute.
