Different Dimension LOVES!

Disclaimer: Some or all of the products in this review were sent to me for an honest review. All opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way.

I just about had a heart attack when I opened this package from Missi at Different Dimension! SO MANY PRETTIES! You know that moment when you get a present from someone and you know just by looking at the outside of the box that its going to be an epic un-boxing...yeah it was like that. Every little bubble wrapped polish burrito was an 'OoOo', 'AAaaaAhhh', or 'OH MY GOD!' I'm going to break this into a couple of posts so keep an eye out for its counterparts. Woot!

If you aren't familiar with Different Dimension (pardon my French but... WHAT ROCK HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER? LOL) take a stroll on over to DD's Etsy shop here and check her out! Missi has been creating and dishing up high quality, 3-free, gorgeous polish for over a year, and her Etsy shop alone boasts an amazing 10,000+ sales! Different Dimension was born when Missi, a mother of 2 and a licensed nail technician, was forced to take a break from her full job as she recovered from joint replacement therapy. With the level of success she has achieved with her polish, she's be able to quit her full time job and focus all of her energy on her boys and creating beautiful lacquers for our fingertips -- and it shows! Different Dimension polishes are top notch, highly collectible and on point with the hottest colors, glitters and trends of the season.

SO WITH THAT, here we go :)

'Today Was A Fairytale' was an INSTANT favorite of mine! This beauty has a milky white base with a fine pink shimmer running through it and its packed with different sized holo and pink circles glitters. The pink shimmer is stunning in person but I couldn't capture it for the life of me with my camera so you'll just have to trust me LOL. Although you can achieve opaqueness with this polish by itself, I think next time I'll layer it over a one coat white; this is 3-4 coats of 'Today Was A Fairytale' plus top coat. LOVE!

This next beauty was a surprise favorite because I'm not really a fan of purple BUT, ITS SO PRETTY!  Ohana Means Family is a delightful mix of periwinkle, lavender and light blue glitter in a clear base. The periwinkle and lavender glitters are kind of frosted making the light blue sparkly glitter POP. This would be gorgeous over any blue or purple polish (it was even gorg over black and white), but I chose Wet & Wilds 'Who is Ultra Violet' from the summer Pop Art collection. This is 2 coats of Ohana Means Family + top coat.

Last but not least is Drops of Jupiter a sure fired top seller from the get go! This stellar (HAHA PUN) mix of silver holographic circle, hex, square and star glitters in a rich, deep black jelly base.  Most of my holo glitters showed up silver in these photos but in the sun they shine like rainbows! You can achieve opacity in 2-3 coats or layer over black, either way its going to be a winner. I decided to layer Drops of Jupiter over a bare nail for added depth and got lots of compliments on it. This is 3 coats + top coat. P.S. YOU NEED THIS.

You can find more of Missi's gorgeous polish in her Etsy shop: Different Dimension as well as on Llarowe. She can also be found on Insagram @Missibarry and Facebook. Full sizes range from $8.50-$12.00 and she also offers minis of most of her creations!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Beauties!

UHOH! Guess what day it is!? (Not an ad...well it is an ad I guess but its not one of those spammy ones)

^^ That commercial cracks me up EVERY freaking time! I am soooooo excited to be able to share these amazing beauties with you all from Femme Fatale Cosmetics! Femme Fatale Cosmetics is an independently owned small business based in Brisbane, Australia! They specialize in hand blended mineral based cosmetics and 3-free hand produced nail lacquer, and offer a variety of vegan-friendly options AND they don't test on animals or purchase ingredients from places who do! I really love that part.

I have 4 polishes to share with you guys so lets get to it! Keep in mind while you read these reviews that these polishes were provided to me by Femme Fatale Cosmetics for an honest review. <-- Disclaimer ya'll!

I have to just nerd-out here for a moment. While I was looking over these polishes I realized that I had seen all of these names before and after some thought it finally hit me; They are all super sneaky World of Warcraft references! I FREAKING LOVE IT!! Love. It. I miss 'old' WoW. Pandas can just...go away.

FIRST UP! is Spindleweb! (WoW Reference: Spindleweb Lurker) Spindleweb is described as a deep, jewel toned blue with green shimmer and teal blue and green glitters! You could layer this baby over a similar color, but I decided to layer it by itself over a naked nail!  I think if I was to swatch this again though I would probably put it over a dark greenish blue, 3 layers by itself started to feel a little thick. It was very difficult to get a good pic of this baby but its stunning in person and I really love it! This is 3 coats of Spindleweb + top coat.

Next up we have Winter Hyacinth! (WoW Reference: Winter Hyacinth). This was the very first polish I ever saw from Femme Fatale Cosmetics and I was in LOVE with it! Its so fun! Winter Hyacinth is a muted teal cream with pink and white hexes and white diamonds. The application on this was relatively easy and keeping the layers thin really made it easy to keep the glitters where you wanted them. This is 3 coats of Winter Hyacinth + top coat. No undies necessary!

Next we have, probably my favorite Halloween-esque polish ever, Tricky Treats! (WoW Reference: Tricky Treat - From my FAVORITE WoW world event Hallow's End. Careful, don't eat too many or you may get sick!) Tricky Treats is a slightly orange tinted jelly with orange and gold bar glitters, pink and orange hexes and red and purple squares! This is 2 coats of Tricky Treats over Zoya 'Myrta' + top coat. (Note: I may swatch this one again because I did it late and in semi-low lighting so these pics are not the best. BUT if you like orange or you're looking for a Halloween inspired lacquer then you're going to LOVE this one!)

And the last polish I have for you guys tonight is Edge Of The Cosmos! (WoW Reference: Edge Of The Cosmos). This is probably my favorite of the 4 because its just SO fun! Edge Of The Cosmos is a dark purpley-burgundy jelly base with micro holo shimmer and a mix of small blue hexes, stars, moons, silver hexes and large circle glitter. You could dramatically change the look of this polish by adding a base, but I decided to go bareback. This is 3-4 coats of Edge of the Cosmos over bare nail + top coat.

My first real experience with Femme Fatale Cosmetics has been a blast! The polishes are top notch, unique, creative, and their names hold a special place in my heart! (I was a WoW Addict from Vanilla to Pandaria and spent more time than I care to admit submersed in the world of Azeroth.)

In North America you can find Femme Fatale Cosmetics at Llarowe, Color4Nails, and Harlow&Co. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram! Check em out! Tell them Fox Claws sent you :)

Model City Polish - Wanna Be Your Boyfriend

Happy Friday!!! Hope ya'll have some awesome weekend plans!

I woke up to a lightning strike so close the house that I heard the static crack and thunder at the same time. It was awesome! Yay thunderstorms!
Today I've got a fun, black jelly for you guys! 'Wanna Be Your Boyfriend' is one of 3 Ramones inspired polishes from Model City Polish! Wanna Be Your Boyfriend is a squishy, black jelly packed with bright teal circles (DOTS!) and small holographic teal glitters. One of the things I was really pleased about was how flat these glitters laid on the nail. I also didn't have to, as my good friend Jennifer at JK Customs would say, 'grab my fishing pole' to get the glitters out - no fishing or dabbing necessary. I also didn't feel like I needed a TON of top coat to smooth it out, it did a nice job on its own. I consider layering this over black but decided against it at the last minute and applied it 'commando style'. This is 3 coats of Wanna Be Your Boyfriend over a clear base coat.

You can snag a full size bottle of 'Wanna Be Your Boyfriend' in Model City Polish's Etsy shop for $8. You can also check out Nina's other gorgeous creations on the Model City Polish Facebook page, and her blog.

Too Cute-icle Summer Fun Essentials Collection! Part 1

If you follow me on Facebook you're probably eagerly anticipating this post...at least I hope you are! I posted a teaser shot of the new Summer Fun Essentials collection from Too Cute-icle that went on sale today in her NEW Big Cartel shop!

This is going to be pretty picture heavy so I'm going to break it into 2 parts. For reference, part one will have Bikini, Lifeguard, Hot Shades and Flippy Floppies. Part 2 will have SPF, Cut Offs, and Beach Blanket.

Each of these 3-Free polishes were swatched over a plain nude polish and would probably do best with a good pair of "undies". Although I was able to achieve full opaqueness with Bikini, Lifeguard, Cut Offs and Beach Blanket, I felt like they looked best (and you use a lot less LOL!) with a neutral underneath. Of course, these were sent to me for an honest review. Click each photo to enlarge!

So without further ado...

First up is Bikini! Bikini is a gorgeous, slightly rosy pink linear holo. This is 2 coats over nude.

Next up is Lifeguard. Lifeguard is a bright red (could throw kind of raspberry pinky-red in some lighting) linear holo. Jess suggests you wear a good base coat since red polishes can occasionally stain. I wore mine for a day and didn't notice any staining that didn't come right off with polish remover. This is one of my favs, the sparkle in it s gorgeous in the sun light. This was Mr. Fox's favorite on me.

Next we have Hot Shades! Hot Shades is a bright orange (not neon, just bright) linear holo. This was probably my least favorite but only because I don't do oranges much. Its really pretty and the sparkle and shine in the sun was gorgeous.

And last but not least for this post is Flippy Floppies! Probably my favorite name of the bunch. I mean, come on, if someone asks what you're wearing you can not say 'Flippy Floppies' without smiling. However I'm probably biased since I named this one...LOL! Flippy Floppies is a gorgeous banana yellow. It is technically a linear holo but the polish is so bright in itself that it drowns out the rainbow effect a bit. Still, its there in the sun and its gorgeous. Again, the shine and the sparkle is crazy -- its perfect for summer -- and I will definitely be wearing this one again! (Definitely click to enlarge these)

These pretties are available now HERE, $10 for a full size, $5 for a mini. They are GORGEOUS! Imagine the rainbow gradients you can do with these babies! You can also find Too Cute-icle on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Too Cute-icle Summer Fun Essentials Collection! Part 2

Welcome back to part 2 of Too Cute-icles Summer Fun Essentials Collection! In case you missed it, you can view part 1 here.

First up in part 2 we have SPF! SPF is a super fun, bright lime green linear holo! As with Flippy Floppies, the polish is so bright that it drowns out the holo a bit, but its still super sparkly in the sun. This is one of my favs as well, the color is outstanding! This is 2 coats of SPF over nude. Click to enlarge and see the sparkle!

CUT OFFS is my faaaavorite of the collection and the only one to contain actual glitter in addition to the holo! Seriously, this baby is GORGEOUS in the sun and inside! If you like blue, you need this. Trust me. Don't forget the base coat, blue polishes occasionally stain.

And last but not least we have Beach Blanket to round out this gorgeous collection (I think I need a new word for how amazingly beautiful these are...). Beach Blanket is the most holo-y out of the bunch and its a beautiful, bright purple.

So what is my overall impression of the collection as a whole? I love it! I love that the colors are wearable and bright but not neon. They easily pull double duty too by being somewhat understated inside (say, at work maybe), and then super flashy when you step into the sun to have some fun. My top 3 must haves: Cut Offs, Lifeguard and SPF in that order, with Flippy Floppies a very close 4th.  For her very first foray into holos I think Jess did a really great job!

You can find Too Cute-icle's Summer Fun Essentials collection at her big cartel store here for $5-$10. You can also find Too Cute-icle on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram.
