Mint Manis for Talia Joy!

On Tuesday the beauty community lost a bright, shinning star, Talia Joy. I came to 'know' Talia just shortly before her passing when I watching clips of Ellen on Youtube and came across this video. I was inspired by Talia's quirky attitude and enthusiasm for life - I mean, there are days when I don't even want to roll out of bed because - insert mundane complaint - and here is this little girl running across a stage with a smile on her face and battling 2 forms of cancer. Damn.

To honor Talia, the beauty community is showing off our mint green manis today. Why mint green? The last manicure that TaliaJoy18 posted on her instragram was this one.

So here is mine, in honor of such a bright, courageous little girl. Coastal Scents COAT Nail Polish in Lily Pad.

I'm baaaaaack!

Confession: I purchased Ozotic 506 from one of the last Llarowe restocks at the beginning of the summer (maybe earlier than that even) and shes been sitting on my shelf EVER since. True story. I'd swatched her once on a nail wheel and stuck her back on the shelf. I know. I should be ashamed to call myself a polish addict. You can stone me to death now if you so desire.

Anyway, since the weather has gone from gorgeous to colder than a witches ti...(you know the saying), I figured it was an appropriate time to pull out the dark, mysterious lady #506 and give see what all the fuss is about...

....I feel like I've discovered Atlantis....Cheesus......Behold...

This is one coat of Ozotic 506 over 1.5 coats of W&W Black Creme

 

Uhmmmmmm yeah. Freaking gorgeous right!? When my fiance got home from work I dragged him outside and demanded he look at my nails, sure that his world would change just as mine had when I first gazed at it....

...but all he said was, "Its blue.....maybe purple...can we go inside now?"
